What is a HardWay.. Hard Way Craps Bet?

A Hardway is proposition bet, infact it is one of the most popular of them. The bet is refering to the dice being rolled by the craps shooter as a perfect matched pair. The hardway number used are Four (4), six (6), eight (8) and ten (10). The dice are to be rolled as a perfect pair before either a 7 or the indicated number the easy way.

For example 6:
The Hardway 3+3
The Easyway 4+2, 5+1

You may be wondering why two (2) and twelve (12) are not hardway bets. The answer is simply beacause they can only possibly rolls as pairs. Ex 12... can only roll as 6+6.

The hardways are called hardways because of the odds being less likely that the hardway number will roll as a pair as opposed to, for example, the 6 rolling as a 4+2 o a 5+1.

Keep in mind tha the "Hardway Bets" are always active bets even in the event of a Come Out roll. The Bet may be placed, changed or removed at any time before any roll.

Payoffs for the Four Different Hardway Bets are as Follows:
